The Technical Stuff
Lighting
We believe that getting the lighting right at an event is extremely important; it plays
a big part in creating the right atmosphere. If your guests feel comfortable on the dance floor they will be far more likely
to stay there.
Many less sophisticated light shows are comprised of Light Screens or
Spot light boxes which flood the dance floor with overpowering light and illuminate the venue in near daylight - we don't feel this is helpful when
trying to put people in the right mood for dancing.
Obviously no two venues or functions are the same - what is right for one is not always right for the
other so it is important to have a flexible lighting system to cater for this.
Our lighting system is computer controlled
through a protocol known as DMX. Our Freestyler
DMX software lets us synchronize our lights and gives us total control over colour, brightness, style & speed. This helps us
create the perfect show.
Our lighting units use Dichroic reflectors & filters to colour the light. These create much richer, deeper & stronger colours than traditional lighting resulting in a truly awe inspiring show.
We also carry Mirror Balls, Ultra Violet lights, Smoke Machines and Strobes if needed or requested.
Sound
To get people up on the dance floor you need great music but if that music is distorted or sounds harsh
it can put people off, this effect is quite often caused by over-driving speakers or by expecting them to handle frequencies they were
not designed to.
Many single-box disco speakers suffer from this effect.
Because we are passionate about music we have created an outstanding sound system to play it through. Our system uses top quality, professional equipment and is an Active Multi-way type, here is a brief explanation:
Firstly the sound signal is split up into separate frequency bands using a Digital Loudspeaker Management System. These different bands are then passed
on to their dedicated amplifiers which power the separate Sub Bass, Bass, Mid & High speakers. This means that every speaker
in the system receives it's optimum signal, resulting in a richer, cleaner and less distorted sound.
Don't understand? Don't worry,
all you need to know is that the end result is fantastic hi-fidelity sound with uncompromised clarity and no distortion.
Our P.A. System is totally modular - from 900 watts to 8.4kW, we can scale up or down to suit different venues, in it's full configuration the system will comfortably provide great sound for up to 1500 people!
